It’s been an intense journey for Polestar, and now we’ve arrived at a very exciting stage: Verification Prototype (VP) build. These VP cars, which contain an unprecedented amount of carbon fibre, are being assembled and painted. They’ll then be ready for a series of vigorous tests.

When we released the LCA report for our electric performance fastback, Polestar 2 we decided to put all our cards on the table. A Life Cycle Analysis takes a holistic look at the carbon impact of a vehicle over its entire life. We believe it is essential to be more transparent, so with such a strong hand, we’ve decided to play those cards again.

New perspectives with Polestar 1

We have never gravitated towards well-known locations. Polestar 1 has always been the focal point in any picture or video anyway. Keeping the background distinctive but free of landmarks kept the car in focus. After all, it would be much harder to appreciate the Mona Lisa if it was hanging on Michelangelo’s David.

Salon Privé 2020

Sir Winston Churchill taught us that “however beautiful the strategy, you should look at the results.” Our strategy is to obsess over every detail, in order to create cars that redefine sustainable electric performance. Polestar 1 and Polestar 2 are the results. And we share our audience’s enthusiasm for looking at them. Therefore, we took them to the former British Prime Minister’s childhood home of Blenheim Palace to take part in the Salon Privé.
