Polestar is the independent electric performance car brand founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding. In 2017, Polestar launched the Polestar 1 – a low-volume Electric Performance Hybrid GT. In 2020, the Polestar 2 was launched as the company’s first fully electric, higher volume premium car designed to compete with the Tesla Model 3. In the future, Polestar 3 will join the portfolio as a fully electric performance suv.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

This role will lead the Polestar 0 Project, a R&D lead cross functional project aimed at delivering a climate-neutral car by 2030. The Polestar 0 Project sets out to find solutions that can be implemented also in our existing and upcoming models. The project will focus on research, advanced engineering as well as available solutions and this role will be instrumental in leading this diverse work. Your focus is to lead this work, drive and keep the momentum going for the next coming years. Drive own issues or tasks, as well as lead a team of people working on specific Advanced Engineering projects connected to support our goal towards 2030.

As Project Leader you are main responsible for the technical solution, timing and cost.

Your experienced from and within the automotive business, and more specific project management would be invaluable to us starting this exciting journey. If you are an innovative, open-minded person who believes that electrification and climate-neutrality is the future of the auto industry, we would like to hear from you. The teams within R&D have a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers expectation.

Who you are

You have a strong wish to create the future of electric vehicles – it’s probably fair to call you an EV nerd. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You have relevant education and background for the position. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and unconventional methods, and you work well both individually and with leading teams. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. At Polestar, you will be leading a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Personal fit will be of great importance in this recruitment, as we are actively working to build a team with diverse experience, gender and background.
