The Polestar Head of Commercial Operation will be the primary point of contact for all sales and operational activities for the Korean market collaborating closely with the Polestar Asia Pacific and Global team to ensure sales growth is optimized via operational excellence and outstanding customer experience. You will be responsible for leading the sales and operations teams to deliver on sales growth objectives whilst ensuring that the operational components of the customer journey are optimized including setting up and ongoing leadership of the customer care team. As Polestar is digital first and aim to deliver a world class online experience you will integrate closely with the Head of Marketing and Business Development Manager to build strategies and operational excellence to support growth.

Main Activities

Manage a high achieving team to deliver on the following functions:

Sales

  • Deliver sales forecasting, growth and analytics. Align with the various teams to optimize the online customer journey and the space operator performance.  The role will also develop fleet sales opportunities and manage remarketing
  • Align with the marketing team on campaigns and initiatives to drive sales growth
  • Provide continual feedback to the teams to optimize the Polestar customer sales experience
  • Manage inventories through seamless planning and alignment with the Supply Chain Logistics Manager

Financial Services

  • Manage the ongoing relationship and performance of our Financial Services Partners to support sales growth and customer retention
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to identify and implement new partnership and product opportunities

Customer Care

  • Ensure operational excellence by creating and leading a world class customer care team and partner that support a premium customer experience with the aim to be #1 for customer experience in all categories in Korea.  This will support customer loyalty and drive long term growth in our brand and customer base

Supply Chain Logistics

  • Establish and coordinate operational processes
  • Manage the production, ordering and delivery of vehicles, parts and accessories and align with the sales team to support management of inventories.  Manage service provider relationships and operational performance to ensure consistent premium service levels

Service Network Performance

  • Manage the relationships, training and performance delivery of the Polestar service points to achieve high performance standards and a consistent premium customer experience.  Aftermarket stakeholder Management

Technical Support

  • Responsible for managing the technical support for the Polestar vehicles, parts and accessories.  The role will support the service network with ongoing training and support to ensure that technical expertise within the network is maintained to a high standard and that technical issues can be resolved promptly

People

  • Lead, coach and inspire a multi-functional team
  • Strong collaboration and coordination with local teams and global partners

Required Experience/Qualifications

You are driven and committed with proven 10+years of qualified experience.  Automotive background is key. Strong sales and aftermarket experience with good understanding for the entire value chain of automotive. The ability to execute but also the ability to delegate.

  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability and electric vehicles.
  • Project management and multitasking skills; ability to effectively manage project tasks, timelines, and communications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: a collaborative ethos and the ability to effectively interact with and influence a diverse group of people.

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in a global company structure with regional/local set-up. You have a strong strategic mind-set, as well as operational hands on capabilities.
