Let us describe the challenge we offer

The Capacity Specialist-role is a new role which will give a great opportunity to develop both the role and the process of Capacity management within Polestar.

You will be part of the Short term Planning & Capacity management team, who is responsible for production planning and production order management in operation. Another part of the role is to support Long term Planning, which is responsible for Cycle plan and strategic volumes.

You will work crossfunctionally within the team and with stakeholders e.g. Procurement, R&D, Vehicle programs etc. You will report to the Manager of Short term Planning & Capacity mgmt and the role is global. 

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg. 

What you'll do
You will work through the car lifecycle cross platforms with the responsibility to ensure that required capacity is secured. The work is in cooperation with other stakeholder within Polestar and other partners. This means that you will build up capacity data for sourcing and production capacity planning according to project milestones.

In operation, you will carry out capacity assurance both within the monthly production program process and mid- and long term volume planning and drive capacity investigations (change management) and prepare data for decision.

Other tasks you will be accountable for, is development of working procedures and tools as well as measure and follow up agreed performance indicators. 

Who you are

You have an University degree in Business Economics and have 3-5 years of industrial experience, with knowledge of sourcing process and logistics.

  • Strong analytical skills with high level agility within reading and understanding complexity
  • Experience of complex supply chain flows and its impact on planning
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Structured personality with a proactive mind set
  • Process development experience
