Let us describe the challenge we offer:

You’ll be a key member of Polestar’s Vehicle Dynamics team and responsible for developing in-house post-processing tools. You will Analyse, clean, visualise and create summary reports to support and inform Vehicle Dynamics development conclusions

    What you’ll do

    • Lead the implementation of in-house objective data analysis tools for Vehicle Dynamics
    • Scope to define the required post-processing tools. For example: MATLAB, NI DIAdem, HBK nCode Glyphworks etc.
    • Creation of in-house scrips to automate the extraction and/or calculation of specific K&C output metrics
    • Propose improvements to test setup and methods to advance post-processing efficiency
    • Build strong relationships with the wider Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis teams using a ‘one team’ mindset
    • Support other driven attribute teams with data analysis, such as Braking or NVH

    Who you are:

    • Degree qualified (Masters level desired) in a relevant STEM subject
    • Experience in scripting in one or more of the following programming languages (Visual Basic [VBA], MATLAB, C or C++)
    • Proven knowledge and expertise in statistical analysis
    • Experienced in data filtering techniques
    • Technical understanding of Vehicle Dynamics principles and metrics is beneficial
    • Knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics theory is beneficial
    • Understanding of objective measurement equipment and their limitations seen as a benefit
    • Knowledge of suspension K&C output formats
    • Excellent team working skills to match the current Vehicle Dynamics team setup
    • Capable of independent working and prioritising workload
    • Genuine interest in making efficient, sustainable products
