Let us describe the challenge we offer

An important part of our Brand & Marketing department is our Digital Customer Experience. The team is responsible for the Polestar design system and the overall digital experience on polestar.com, supporting our overall business plan. The team (including talents within UX, UI, copywriting, publishing, and product management) works cross-functionally in product-oriented teams, all with the shared vision to create an on brand digital customer experience.

Polestar Digital Customer Experience inhouse team is growing and we are therefore looking for the most motivated talents within UX to take on a long-term commitment – making an impact that matters.

This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.

 

What you’ll do

As an UX Designer at Polestar, your main responsibility will be to realize the digital brand vision of Polestar, translating user needs and business and technical requirements into great digital experiences. You will ensure that Polestar digital experiences are designed to optimize the customer experience and usability while securing a consistent design across digital products. You’ll challenge status quo of how things work and set bold visions, as well as break these down to MVPs that can be tested and iterated.

In this position you will be expected to lead UX focused projects and teams, establish and update UX design processes and mentor other UX designers. 

Your tasks will include:

  • Roadmap development
  • Product steering
  • Brief creation/scope
  • Research & design process refinement
  • Customer journey optimization/fulfilment
  • Omni channel alignment and development
  • Information architecture

 

Who you are

We are looking for you who strive for perfection and enjoy the variation of working independently as well as collaborating with both internal as external stakeholders. To contribute to our current team, we need you to be a humble team player, used to working under time pressure and re-prioritize due to tight deadlines and an always changing environment. Even if being details obsessed, you understand you need to have a holistic approach, guiding the designers in the right direction and briefing them when changes are needed.

Below you find skills and experiences we value high, and think are beneficial to succeed in this role:

  • Several years with digital products including service design, information architecture and/or interaction design
  • Portfolio/cases showing deep level UX experience
  • UX research knowledge
  • Experience in leading and coaching others
  • Grit and passion for your work
  • Experience with automotive brands and/or luxury brands is a plus

Since Polestar is in a scale-up phase you are comfortable with setting your own structure, being flexible in your prioritization and thrive by working in a fast-paced environment and accept English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
