Delivery and Technical Senior Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

The Polestar Delivery and Technical Senior Specialist will be responsible for new and pre-owned vehicle delivery processes (PDI, PDS, handover), registration reporting, and coordination of internal fleet vehicles in Australia. This position will collaborate closely with the 3PL, Polestar Service Points and Polestar Handover centres to ensure a high-quality and seamless customer delivery experience. This will include the resolution of any vehicle-related technical queries prior to delivery. This role will be responsible for VIC, TAS, SA and WA and will work very closely with the Delivery and Technical Senior Specialist (NSW & QLD).


Vehicle Delivery:

  • Planning and facilitating deliveries of new and pre-owned vehicles to Polestar locations and direct to internal and external customers
  • Working with the Delivery and Technical Specialist (NSW & QLD) establish and maintain national delivery standards
  • Liaising with Customer Service and Customer Care to ensure delivery coordination and handover operations are meeting and exceeding Polestar customer experience standards


  • Rollout, maintain and audit of Standard Operating Procedures (e.g. PDI / PDS / preservation) and KPIs at the 3PL and dealers
  • Working with the Order-to Delivery Specialist, plan and facilitate deliveries of new and pre-owned vehicles to Polestar locations and direct-to-customers
  • 3PL and dealer audits – assess both vehicle processing centres and transport operations for adherence to procedures and performance against KPIs
  • Resolving new vehicle technical queries from Polestar’s logistics partners
  • In coordination with Global Homologation, Logistics, OtD, and Product Planning teams, ensure that VPC operations satisfy all regulatory requirements for vehicles
  • Manage quality holds in conjunction and with direction from the Quality team
  • Arrange technical training for 3PL staff and mentor as required


  • Champion the pursuit of industry-best customer delivery experiences
  • Serve as conduit between Polestar’s internal stakeholders and the 3PL

Required Experience / Qualifications:

You are trade-qualified to perform technical work on electric vehicles (e.g. mechanic / auto electrician), with proven expertise in customer handover / customer experience. A solid understanding of Australian motor vehicle regulation and experience at, or working with, a 3PL provider / logistics provider would be well-regarded, as would experience working with electric vehicles.

This role will require occasional inter-state travel in Australia.
