Polestar is on a blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. We are currently looking for a EE Requirements tool engineer that will add invaluable support in setting up the electrical & software engineering tool chain for Polestar.

What you’ll do

The PMT team is a part of the Polestar R&D. The team’s mission is to deliver Processes, Methods and Tools (Systemweaver) used for the electrical & software development and verification. You will work alongside an experienced tool team and will be exposed to large parts of the Polestar R&D organization.


Your responsibilities will be:

  • Be part of setting the Polestar vision for our way of working
  • Review and provide expert opinion on Systemweaver setup at Polestar
  • Provide improvement proposals of process and metamodel
  • Liaise with Systemite (tool supplier)
  • Collaborate with process owners
  • Provide training to new employees
  • Support the creations of education materials & technical presentations
  • Act as a company ambassador for Systemweaver


Essentially, you will be our expert in setting up Systemweaver at Polestar.


Who you are

You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You are eager to find solutions even if the path forward is not straight. You are good with numbers and have no trouble finding facts and figures.


Required Experience:

  • Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in electrical & software development within the Automotive industry.
  • Previous experience with setting up at least one of the following requirements handling tools: Systemweaver, Doors, Preevision, Capital Systems or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in setting up automotive R&D processes.
  • Good understanding of Automotive Electrical system.


Desired Experience, but not a must:

  • Understanding of Systemweaver standard meta model
  • Experience writing Systemweaver / Carweaver / SETool functions, add-inns & consistency checks
  • Programming skills such as C# and Python
