Due to aggressive growth plans Polestar is currently looking to recruit a CAD/PLM trainer.

The Role:

You will be a member of the PLM team reporting directly to the PLM manager. The task will be to not only provide training to new Polestar employees in the use of Dassault Systems CATIA V5 CAD tool, and Siemens Teamcenter and Vis Mock-up tools, but to also liaise with business leads to ensure the training is aligned to the business requirements.

Along with being responsible for the evaluation of current training needs, this role will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a training development plan which will be complete with training material, tutorials, workshop material and online learning resources.

The training role will also need to evaluate the success of the training implementation by assessing the achievement of the learning objectives and transfer of knowledge to continuously improve the training solutions and identify all future learning needs.

This vacancy is open to individuals who are professionals looking for a new challenge or have studied and/or recently graduated with relevant qualifications.

The Person

A proactive, passionate professional is required for this new role. We are looking to appoint a committed individual to train new and existing engineers in our CAD and new PLM system. To be successful, you will be a self-starter with an enthusiasm to motivate yourself and others. The role requires a team player and someone who has a ‘can do’ attitude. You will have strong communication skills, a passion to train others, be IT literate and prepared to extend your own skills and knowledge. In addition, you must be confident in producing and delivering training/presentations, engaging with multiple stakeholders at every level.

Minimum Required Skills & Experience:

  • Industry experience, and the use of 3D CADX (CATIA V5) and PLM systems.
  • Experience of delivering classroom and remote training and possibly support.
  • Training Planning
  • Training deployment.
  • Training curriculum development
  • Method creation and documentation.
  • Proficient IT skills including MS Office Tools
  • Industry experience as 3D CAD Technician / CAD Draughtsperson and PLM user.
  • Experienced user of CATIA V5 CAD system (Other CAD systems considered as training could be provided)

Desirable Experience:

  • Project Management (JIRA, Agile methodology)
  • Knowledge and Experience of working on Learning Management System(s) / LMSs
  • Knowledge & experience of e-learning and e-assessment tools.
  • knowledge of tools and techniques used throughout the product development process Tolerance Analysis, Requirements, FMEA, DFA, DFM, CAE
