Due to aggressive growth plans Polestar is currently looking to recruit a Product Structure Administrator.

The Role

The Product Structure Administrator is responsible for;

  • Working alongside the Engineering, Product Data Management (PDM) and PLM teams, to create, update and control the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).
  • Prepare the EBOM for design, procurement and manufacturing reviews. Ensure that the latest information is captured.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the vehicle design to assist with key part and part assembly decisions e.g. make or buy, included verses purchase level. Ensure that the EBOM is properly aligned with the latest CAD designs from engineering.
  • Play an integral role in the part and change management process to assess impact of a change, collaborate with key business units regarding the contents of a change and control the introduction of new parts into the EBOM once a change is agreed.
  • Liaise with Product Configuration team regarding feature codes and product specifications. Request updates to vehicle configurations and feature rule sets. Create and manage the vehicle control models.
  • Assist Engineering and PDM teams with new part releases. Ensure that in-context data is up-to-date to allow part verification prior to release.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering with delivery module and in-process assembly definition. Ensure that EBOM supports the manufacturing process or adjust accordingly.
  • Assist engineering with vehicle weight roll up reports.

  • A confident communicator who is happy to drive cross departmental reviews. The ability to describe complex problems in a clear and simple manner is key.
  • A talented individual who can learn fast and enjoys need challenges.
  • Keen, energetic, and open minded.
  • Structured, methodical and logical with good planning skills.
  • Patient, flexible and pleasant.


Minimum Required Skills & Experience:

  • Teamcenter Proficient. Ideally V13.1 and Active Workspace 5.1 and higher.
  • Awareness of Catia V5. Basic ability to drive the application is an advantage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, good Excel skills is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Product Data Management principles within a product creation environment is important. Knowledge of how a design matures and how its history is tracked and stored is essential to this role.
  • Able to work in start-up environment


Desirable Experience

  • Experience in working on full electric vehicles
  • Knowledge of how product design changes are managed and documented is an advantage but not essential.
