Let us describe the challenge we offer

We are looking to strengthen the Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The team you join plays a key role in laying out the financial plans behind building up a brand new global EV company and you’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level.

Our focus in the FP&A team is to support the Group CFO with analysis and reporting of Polestar Group’s financial performance by developing and focusing on in-depth analysis and answering the questions where, why and how on the financial statements. We also aim to transform the overarching company strategy, into mid- and short-range financial plans as well as predicting and analysing the impact of potential decisions on cash flow and the bottom line. With the use of financial modelling, we forecast operating and profitability performance and sets annual targets with the help of the controlling community.

What you'll do

We are looking for a few members to support us in a few different areas. Depending on the applicants these roles might be combined or adjusted to ensure the best result and dynamics of our team, but the key areas/roles include but are not limited to:

Develop, analyze, and report financial performance vs. prior periods, and plan. The person will also participate in and develop the management reporting process and the development of dashboards for group financial analysis, business reviews, financial reporting, and other ad hoc projects.Develop and manage our mid- and short-term planning. The person will implement a new financial planning tool and a global rolling forecast process. By doing so the person will help increase our forecasting accuracy and support in our financial development. Furthermore, the person will be responsible for documenting our forecasting processes, own and communicate templates and planning calendar. In parallel to this, the role will also be responsible for the consolidated forecast and create all forecasting material to Group management and Board. Develop and define the financial planning and analysis of cashflow, working capital management and net debt. The person will develop and the reporting formats and analytical models that assist in the forecasting and analysis of Working Capital and Cash flow. This person will create this from the ground up so a background in similar tasks such as M&A and/or transactions is desirable.Contribute to the ongoing effort to establish routines for efficient and insightful monitoring of progression in financials and the underlying businessDigital Development. We want to spearhead the development of data driven analysis and forecasting models, taking both business specific and macro events into account. The person knows how to translate complex data into a simple solution with a natural analytical mindset.



Who you are

You have a relevant university degree and a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in finance analytics, such as FP&A, Group controlling or similar environment, preferably with a larger international group and/or Big 4 background.

To be a great fit for this role, you need to have a collaborative ability, a great business acumen, a good understanding of financial reports, be curious and performance driven, and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. You are a fast learner who can embrace change and adapt quickly to accommodate the needs of a growing business. You can multi-task and prioritize based on relevance and you excel at both critical and analytical thinking and communication to be able to understand the management perspective and propose creative solutions.
