What you’ll do

The area of responsibility spans from researching innovative solutions to developing state of the art battery management software with test and release.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Designing, develop and validating software related to battery management systems in the vehicle but also support testing of the complete system in the vehicle
  • Manage beta-testing and establish data-driven closed loop feedback of the performance, work with dashboards and metrics
  • Push us in creating value for thermal management functions, battery health and learn fast about cells and their behavior.

Essentially, you will be our expert in how to implement software that will maximize the attributes like range, charging performance and energy efficiency and at the same time always prioritize battery safety and availability of the system.

Who you are

You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You are a fast learner and you’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business and customers.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • Education within electrical engineering or other equivalent university degree
  • Previous experience in battery management systems (Matlab Simulink) and embedded ECU programming.

At Polestar, you will be a part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Personal fit will be of great importance in this recruitment, as we are actively working to build a team with diverse experience, gender and background.
