Digital Art Director

We are looking for an Art Director to join our Content Production team. Together with Content Production leads, Copywriters, and Graphic designers, you will work with concept, design, and execute creative ideas in short and long-form content.

You have a good understanding of trends and visual storytelling in both emerging social platforms and traditional channels. You can also demonstrate expertise and interest in social media platforms and know their abilities and limitations.

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.


What you´ll do

In the role of Digital Art Director, you will be accountable for being up-to-date and being adherent to the brand and visual guidelines of Polestar. You will work closely together with the Brand team and other cross-functional team members. Your responsibility will also include leading and inspiring graphic designers.

Other tasks you will be accountable for:

  • Creating creative concepts within the Content Production team and set the overall direction of the final-art productions
  • Development and maintenance of existing and new creative content in the Content Production team
  • Ensuring efficient asset management by checking in new assets and reusing previous assets


Who you are

We are looking for you who have a deep competence in aesthetics, compositions, grid systems, and visual design and expressions. You have a broad understanding and knowledge of marketing and experience from working in an agile setting and working in close cooperation with agencies.

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in mobile-first design and animation across digital and social media platforms
  • Several years of experience in similar creative design work
  • Competence in HTML/HTML5, CSS and other similar tools and languages
  • Deep competence in tooling required for graphics design work (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
