We have an exciting opportunity at Polestar for Profit Analyst & Controller who can work within a fast-paced and challenging start-up organization. You will play an important role in the program team supporting Polestar in its growth and expansion. In this finance role, you are a member of a dynamic and developing team. You will be working closely with our exciting future car projects, with both our development teams and business teams. This role is key to steer the profitability of our future product portfolio.


 

What you'll do

Your main responsibility is to lead Profit Model updates and be the speaking partner towards program- and business controllers. In the program team you will be responsible for running the profit model and lead analyses of all parameters influencing the profitability of the future vehicles. Your key objective is to create quality assured business case calculations to be used as base in vehicle programs and corporate decisions. The role is based in Gothenburg and report directly to the Program Finance Manager.

Examples of tasks are:

  • Analysis of business cases, products and services
  • Manage Polestar profit models
  • Be part of building up the controlling for the product and industrial footprint
  • Interface and related parties are Business controller, R&D, cost controllers, product and planning management team and corporate management,
  • Collect data and drive analysis and provide alternatives
  • Support vital updates of business equation including revenue equation and cost
  • Drive and coordinate cross functional initiatives
  • Support in cycle plan studies and business plan
  • Become a member that will actively contribute to set up and develop a new finance team


Who you are

We think that you are a person with a lot of energy and strong analytical skills and a holistic mind-set. You have sufficient experience and knowledge in the subjected area. In this role it’s important to being able to interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way.

Other important skills for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Very good skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong business acumen and very good analytical skills
  • Proficient in understanding and interpreting financial information and communicating the information in a clear and concise way
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work with many different stakeholders involved
  • Good team player and team building skills
