At Polestar we don't just drive innovation in our cars – our entire business model is different from our competitors. We’re looking for a creative, innovative, experienced, and hands-on professional to play a critical role in the purchasing needs for a Polestar’s Marketing, PR & Sales teams.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

The Senior Buyer (Marcom) will be instrumental in supporting the indirect purchasing needs of Polestars Marketing, PR & Sales teams. This role will be critical in driving new supplier relationships, executing new contracts, ensuring company compliance and work closely with key stakeholders while reporting into the Director of Procurement.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with US Marketing, PR, Sales, and other departments for Polestar projects as main contact for all commercial issues towards suppliers
  • Lead the sourcing initiatives for above the line, below the line marketing including media buy, social, events, exhibition, conference, etc. and take full responsibility to comply procurement process
  • Strengthen business connectivity with stakeholders, working closely to rationalize SOW, KPI and performance review
  • Keep in line with global sourcing strategy and develop commodity business plan (CBP) for the region together with stakeholders
  • Perform necessary market analysis to support the sourcing activities
  • Build supplier relationship management scheme & drive continuous improvement on cost, quality, delivery, compliance, striving for sustainability and partnership for the best value to Polestar
  • Ensure company and regulatory policy compliance for the region
  • Support in the evaluation of suppliers, reviewing internal policies, financial viability, process & procedures, etc.
  • Actively participate in the execution of new contracts
  • Driving partnership development including suppliers to support business development globally
  • Support and develop efficient standardized req-to-pay processes

Who you are

  • 5 years' indirect procurement experience or marcom business experience
  • Automotive industry experience and global background is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing, Business Management or related is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Smart and nimble mind-set, with efficient working performance under complicated global environment
  • Good network with indirect purchasing global supply base and local, with sharp discernment and powerful analyzing ability of market
  • Strong negotiation skills with supplier, coordination & organization capability with cross functions
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and from time to time on travelling basis
  • Positive and passionate, nothing is impossible mind-set, good team player
