At Polestar we don't just drive innovation in our cars – Our entire business model is different from our competitors. We’re looking for a detailed, innovative and hands-on professional to manage our remarketing and pre-owned vehicle business for Polestar North America.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

As a Manager, Pre-Owned Polestar you will be responsible for developing and managing Polestar’s Pre-Owned vehicle program and remarketing in North America. You will be responsible for: working with Polestar Spaces to optimize Pre-Owned sales; pricing and remarketing strategy for Polestar vehicles; developing new partnerships to increase residual value of used vehicles; and creating new business processes to support the Polestar Pre-Owned program goals.

This role is located in Mahwah, New Jersey, and reports to Head of Business Development, Polestar North America

What you'll do

  • Oversee, develop, and improve Polestars pre-owned vehicle remarketing process
  • Set pricing and benchmarks on all 2nd cycle Polestar vehicles, meeting annual profitability and residual value goals.
  • Bring a digital-first mindset and enthusiasm to the table, building our pre-owned process and offer for the 21st century
  • Develop relationships with and manage strategic partners, dealers, external stakeholders, and vendors
  • Apply fundamental supply and demand principals to real world scenarios, analyzing large data sets, and developing insights and actions based on data.
  • Partner and work closely with internal teams, leading communications with key stakeholders in Polestar Headquarters and providing feedback for process and platform improvements

Who you are

To be a great fit for this role we believe that you are an expert in managing vehicle remarketing and pre-owned programs and that you have deep understanding how automakers manage used vehicles. You will be creative, ambitious, analytical, and someone who loves building new businesses and organizations. You thrive and are motivated by fast paced, startup environments.

  • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry
  • MBA or higher education equivalent highly preferred
  • Proven track record in remarketing or used car programs at an OEM
  • Attune to economic & market factors to best set pricing strategies
  • Possess expertise in data analysis, financial analysis, and market sales analysis.
  • Passionate about electric vehicles and clean technology.
  • Confident ability to synthesize data and communicate findings to C level executives.
  • Proficient in program management, including developing milestones, managing a team, and seeing program through from ideation to execution and operation.
