In this role we are looking for a person who will essentially be our expert in how to test our inhouse software and battery systems that will maximize the attributes like range, charging performance and energy efficiency and at the same time always prioritize battery safety and availability of the system.

What you’ll do

BMS Software is a part of the Polestar Propulsion Department, is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers, test engineers and system designers. The area of responsibility spans from battery management software. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Designing, validating and develop test methods to battery management systems in the vehicle and support testing of the complete system in the vehicle
  • Troubleshoot and measure on complete vehicle level and support integration of the battery
  • Be up to date on legal requirements and feedback from fleet, and evolve with new test methods that continuously will improve our products, remove obsolete methods
  • Push us in becoming data driven in our decision making.

Essentially, you will be our expert in how to test our inhouse software and battery systems that will maximize the attributes like range, charging performance and energy efficiency and at the same time always prioritize battery safety and availability of the system.

 

Who you are

  • Education within electrical engineering or other similar university degree is mandatory for the job.
  • Previous experience in battery management systems (Matlab Simulink) measurement tools, like INCA, Canalyzer and measurement systems.
  • You have at least two years of experience with measurements and analyzing

You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles – it’s probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. You are a fast learner and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
