We have an exciting opportunity at Polestar UK for a Finance Analyst who can work within a fast-paced and challenging start-up organization. You will play an important role in the team in supporting Polestar in its growth and expansion. In this finance role, you are a member of a dynamic and developing team.

In order to succeed at Polestar you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple disciples is paramount. You will be the finance voice for the Polestar UK. Your main responsibilities are to secure a correct financial reporting from a function and legal entity perspective.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis on actuals and forecasts
  • Accruals and approvals in assigned functions
  • Monthly financial preparation and reports for actuals and forecasts
  • Coordinate financials with HQ in Sweden
  • Provide and present the financials for UK operation and HQ
  • Supporting management team and function heads with in-depth analysis
  • Establish and improve upon existing management controlling and reporting practices

Academic Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration (or similar).
  • 2-4 years work experience in financial and/or business control
  • Strong business acumen
  • Good financial knowledge
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work with many different stakeholders involved
  • Able to work independent and with an open mind to continuously improve the financial processes.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred, BI tools experience is a nice to have
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good team player and team building skills

You will need to be a person with a lot of energy with an open mind and posses a high level of business acumen. You will like to dig deep into the details but also have a strategic mind that understands the bigger picture. You are ambitious and hard working.

In this role it’s important to be able to interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way. You will need to have strong analytical skills as well as being highly organised. Further more you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and be able to think creatively as well being solutions orientated.

This role would best suit someone with 2-4 years of relevant experience post graduation/studies who are eager to learn and would like to grow along the business and shape the position for the future.
