Technical Specialist - Network

We are currently looking for a Technical Specialist to join our team

About the role

As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for developing the Network services vision into working solutions. You will participate in ongoing development from a digital perspective, provide your expertise and competence within the Network area, as well as testing and operational activities such as application/service maintenance and support. 

You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving issues with both hardware and software within the Network function. You will be able to influence the functionality and how users interact with the products and services.

In your role, you will also train other staff members and end-users, to teach them the most efficient methods for using company tech and design training materials for the same. You work hard to stay on top of the fast-changing technology landscape and learn new products and technologies as they become available to find the best methods for using them. You will provide business productivity by performing support for the enterprise, managing technical problems from request to resolution.

The Network team

The Network team belongs within the Digital Foundation area providing an important service, fundamental to the entire company. In your daily work you will be able to make an impact and continuously work to improve and develop the services within the network function. You will be working closely together with other teams in the Digital Worklife area serving the Enterprise globally. 

What you will do

  • Design, configure and implement technical components within the Network services area
  • Ensure the solutions are built according to policies, guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Carry out tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
  • Design training materials
  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
  • Provide expertise to resolve complex technical issues within the area
  • Maintain a close relation to the Technical Lead and Architecture & Standards team to ensure the latest guidelines and guardrails are followed
  • Continuously work to increase productivity and reduce costs through technical solutions to streamline business processes and programs
  • Interact with other digital team’s cross functions and domains to restore service and/or identify core problems

Who you are

  • 5+ years of architectural experience related to design, planning and implementation of Enterprise Networks
  • Proficiency on core infrastructure concepts and networking such as firewalls, routing and switching
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Knowledge in business development and business analysis, mapping demand specifications
  • Experience working with:

             - ITSM processes

             - End user devices

             - End user support with global presence and complex environment 

Knowledge and experience within the following areas is considered a merit

  • Administration of Enterprise network platforms such as Meraki cloud, Cisco AMP, Umbrella, ISE and Infoblox DDI
  • Computer programming and scripting, working with automation
  • Information Protection (Sensitivity labels, Classification, Data Loss Prevention)
  • Information Governance (Compliance)

  • Excellent English communication skills, both in writing and verbal
  • Solution orientated mindset with strong analytical capabilities
  • Willingness to take the ownership of tasks and deliver it as per expectations
  • Good at collaborating with people from all cultures and levels of an organization
  • Understand that user experience is the key to success
  • Ability to create order and structure
  • Analytical, organized and focused on resolution
