Product Quality Team Manager

Our Quality Department work to ensure the quality in Polestar products throughout the life cycle of our product and services. The department is expanding at a rapid pace, and we are now searching for an influential team manager for a newly created team within this department. The role will be based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.


What you’ll do

This role is both operational and strategic - you will work operationally in product follow-up on our Polestar products, develop the systems for how the team works and identify client solutions and communicate these. You’ll be team manager with personnel responsibility of a growing team of currently five employees. In a strategic way, you will be the team lead with a solid expertise as well as passion for quality matters and streamline the best possible performance to our customers.

Additionally, you will:

  • Make sure that the team has the right focus and attention on the quality issues in accordance with our products
  • Identify quality issues in an early stage to make the customer experience of our products as flawless as possible
  • Develop a proactive working strategy for the team and quality issues


Who you are

To be a great fit for this role, we are looking for you with exceptional leadership skills and an ability to be a strong communicator with a positive outlook. Challenges motivate you into a problem-solving state, where the focus is on the solution and best outcome for the client. One of your favorite subjects are about product quality - you are comfortable working with quality related matters and have a holistic view on relationships where you see the potential in your colleagues and clients.

Further on, we are searching for you who have:

  • Experience working with product quality, preferably in the automotive industry, however it is not a requirement
  • Demonstrated experience in a managerial/team leader position

For this position, we will place an emphasis on the personality and characteristics. This position will occasionally also require local presence – you are expected to be comfortable with travelling for work a few times per year.
