Let us describe the challenge we offer

 

The Polestar Delivery and Technical Specialist will be responsible for new and pre-owned vehicle delivery processes (PDI, PDS, handover), registration reporting, and coordination of internal fleet vehicles in Australia. This position will collaborate closely with the 3PL, Polestar Service Points and Polestar Handover centres to ensure a high-quality and seamless customer delivery experience. This will include the resolution of any vehicle-related technical queries prior to delivery, and vehicle registration reporting, both externally and internally.

Vehicle Delivery:

  • Planning and facilitating deliveries of new and pre-owned vehicles to Polestar locations and direct to internal and external customers
  • Establishing and maintaining delivery standards – both 3PL direct-to-customer deliveries and Polestar Handover centre deliveries
  • Liaising with Customer Service and Customer Care to ensure delivery coordination and handover operations are meeting and exceeding Polestar customer experience standards
  • Management of the employee company car fleet and associated systems

3PL:

  • Rollout, maintenance and audit of Standard Operating Procedures (e.g. PDI / PDS / preservation) and KPIs at the 3PL
  • 3PL audits – assess both vehicle processing centres and transport operations for adherence to procedures and performance against KPIs
  • Planning and facilitating deliveries of new and pre-owned vehicles to Polestar locations and direct-to-customers
  • Resolving technical queries from Polestar’s logistics partners
  • In coordination with Global Homologation, Logistics, OtD, and Product Planning teams, ensure that VPC operations satisfy all regulatory requirements for vehicles
  • Coordinate vehicle registration, CTP and delivery
  • Manage quality holds in conjunction and with direction from the Quality team
  • Arrange technical training for 3PL staff and mentor as required

Reporting:

  • Reporting of monthly registration data to external stakeholders such as NEVDIS and VFACTS
  • Reporting monthly sales data to internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the OtD Manager with sales and forecast reporting
  • Third party KPI reporting

People:

  • Champion the pursuit of industry-best customer delivery experiences
  • Serve as conduit between Polestar’s internal stakeholders and the 3PL 

 


Who you are

You are trade-qualified to perform technical work on electric vehicles (e.g. mechanic / auto electrician), with proven expertise in customer handover / customer experience. A solid understanding of Australian motor vehicle regulation and experience at, or working with, a 3PL provider / logistics provider would be well-regarded, as would experience working with electric vehicles.

This role will require occasional inter-state travel in Australia (3PL site audits).

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record establishing and tracking processes against KPIs. You have a strong methodical mind-set, and a can-do approach to operational hands-on requirements.
