The Polestar North American Digital team is responsible for the design, development, launch, and optimization of both D2C and B2B digital solutions, leveraged across the various customer channels for both Retail and Fleet customers within the United States and Canada. The Digital team works with only the best-of-breed of technology, combining bespoke digital solutions with industry leading 3rd party technologies.
What you’ll do
Manage and own Polestar North America enterprise services capabilities, including local digital (IT) support, digital workplace, financing and purchasing applications, integration services, devops services and operation services
Facilitate the vision and goals for the product area, aligned with business and digital strategy
Provide technical leadership for the product area, acting as a liaison between business needs, third parties and global resources
Oversee the development and design of responsible digital products from inception to launch, directly managing digital leads, teams and vendors
Capture and maintain digital product requirements for North America enterprise services, including the capabilities performed by retailers and third parties
Supervise digital support managed services vendor, giving direction and accountability for services provided
Ensure solutions launched are supported and technically sustainable according to Polestar architecture strategies
Maintain digital product backlogs and roadmaps, communicating updates to stakeholders
Track and measure the product area’s performance health through OKRs and KPIs
Who you are
Demonstrated leadership in digital development (8+ years) including product or project management
Broad understanding of digital applications including finance and accounting, ERP, integration and devops platforms, and digital (IT) support
Solid experience building and operating large (high volume) web applications or websites
Experience leading and coaching high performing digital teams towards a common goal
Experience in agile ways of working and DevOps, as well as strong skills of maintaining and prioritizing a backlog
Strong analytical skills to direct a product area toward the right decisions in the shortest possible time
Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems or equivalent
Able to work in a matrixed organization with global and local resources
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to understand complexity and ambiguity
Well organized with excellent collaboration and communication skills
