Polestar is the independent electric performance car brand founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding. Operating as a start-up, but with the benefits of experience and expertise provided by its established founding companies, Polestar is a dynamic, exciting and rapidly expanding brand. Polestar’s first two products – the electric performance hybrid Polestar 1 and the electric performance fastback Polestar 2 – have been recognised both by the world’s press and customers to be outstanding vehicles. They are currently marketed in ten global markets across China, Europe and North America. 


What you´ll do

Polestar Head of Marketing Spain will be the primary point of contact for all marketing activities relating to the brand in Spain, collaborating closely with the Global team to ensure brand consistency across the markets. You will be responsible for successful new product launches and driving awareness for existing product line, strengthening consumer awareness and consideration of the Polestar brand. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Market of Polestar Spain and in work alliance with the Brand & Marketing at Polestar HQ. The role is based in Madrid, Spain.

Role includes the following areas:

Marketing Strategy:

  • Establishing and growing the Polestar brand in Spain and driving brand awareness, consideration and relevance amongst the target audiences.
  • Develop the marketing strategy in Spain consistent with the overall global marketing strategy and implementation roadmap. This includes new product launches, and driving awareness for existing product line, brand communications.
  • Collaborate with the Polestar HQ marketing team to understand global and regional strategic initiatives.
  • Drive digital-first, consumer-centric approach across all aspects of the business together with Global team.
  • Lead, activate, and execute consumer communications across all channels.
  • Sustain a performance measurement framework across key platforms to drive sustainable growth and continuous improvement. 
  • Responsible for financial planning and reporting (paired with KPI framework to deliver campaign attribution/ROI measurement).
  • Develop specific campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interest ultimately driving consumer conversion.
  • Initiate, develop and execute event strategy

Activation & Campaigns:

  • Manage and coordinate external agency partners.
  • Deliver exemplary CX across all brand touchpoints.
  • Oversee CRM, Social Media and Community Management channels
  • Explore and implement best in class practices from other Polestar markets.


People:

  • Lead, coach and inspire multi-functional marketing team including space operators
  • Lead agency partner relationships to drive the innovative, thoughtful work that meets overall objectives
  • Strong collaboration and coordination with global partners

Required Experience/Qualifications

You are driven, committed, with proven experience in marketing communications and brand building, preferably with a marketing or business degree. Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing or Communications preferred). Master’s Degree and global experience a plus.

  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability and electric vehicles.
  • Strong and proven leadership experience in marketing management.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing communications programs in traditional, digital and social landscapes.
  • Proven experience with web, social, and paid analytics tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: a collaborative ethos and the ability to effectively interact with and influence a diverse group of people.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Project management and multitasking skills; ability to effectively manage project tasks, timelines, and communications.


To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in a global company structure with regional/local set-up. You have a strong strategic mind-set, as well as operational hands on capabilities.
