The Person

  • Able to work without strict processes and procedures with a desire to improve existing solutions within the business
  • Minimum 5 years relevant automotive experience
  • Attention to detail and work across to teams with mass tracking and understanding homologation
  • Experience of Homologation / Weight Management (ideally in an OEM environment)
  • Understanding of virtual tools – CAD, PLM & Digital Mock-Up
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The Role 

Homologation Integration and Weight Management lead;

  • Supporting and guiding the Vehicle Integration team to ensure legal requirements and homologation integration standards are met across global markets
  • Interpreting homologation requirements, and monitoring of homologation processes and regulations for new vehicle types to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Participating in and influencing working groups involved in the development of regulations and standards as required
  • Support preparation and generation of the necessary technical documentation submissions to approval authorities.
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining package guidelines / standards 
  • Setting and maintaining Vehicle & System mass targets
  • Maintaining and reporting the mass status from an automated mass / CofG reports from TCe / CATIA
  • Organise and review benchmark vehicle mass studies

Minimum Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 years working in Automotive or similar industry
  • TC & Viz mock-up experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including pivot tables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & organisational skills, with good attention to detail
  • Experience in Homologation requirements
  • Able to work in start-up environment
  • A Design or Engineering Degree (Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will also be considered).

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in CATIA V5
  • Experience in benchmarking at both vehicle and subsystem / component level to assist with target setting
