Electrical DVP&R Engineer/ Co-Ordinator Software and Electronics

 The Role: 

  • Compile and own the Electrical Engineering DVP plan (at a component/ system level) for each vehicle programme.
  • Collate the requirements of the SW&E team and ensure these are fed into the relative programme DVP plan.
  • Ensure SW&E vehicle level requirements are fed into the vehicle level DVP plan (eg EMC, Environmental and durability)
  • Liaise and prioritise with the vehicle programme team DVP co-ordinators, SW&E engineers to establish timing, resources, and geographical location required for each DVP line item.
  • Support the SW&E team in terms of arranging booking of facilities, transportation, other resources etc.
  • Lead & report status of the electrical DVP on a monthly basis throughout each Polestar vehicle project using a series of metrics..
  • Track progress and completion of each DVP line item and ensure test reports are published/ stored where necessary.

The Person:

  • Demonstrable experience (3+ years) of DVP co-ordination preferably with (but not limited to) a vehicle manufacturer.
  • Proficient at MS Project/ Excel/ JIRA
  • Engineering or similar honors engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered. 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, components, and software.
  • Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS, FPDS, GPDS, NPDS)
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remain focused under pressure.
