Assist in the overall strategy & delivery plan of global EMC compliance in Polestar.
Ensure EMC technical requirements are achieved and delivered on time, to budget to the required quality.
Support of our partner OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers towards EMC requirement achievement.
Support the publication of a Polestar EMC component level process and requirements.
Support the publication of a Polestar EMC component test plan template and process
Support the publication of a Polestar EMC vehicle level process requirements and specification
Support the publication of a Polestar surrogate data gap analysis process.
Assist in the Polestar “Design for EMC best practice” document in terms of correctly packaging components and electrical distribution network to lower risk.
Lead & report status of EMC compliance reviews on a monthly basis throughout each Polestar vehicle project.
Issue management support, from problem identification through to introduction of final countermeasure using company issue management system
Supplier management and co-ordination of EMC issues.
Provision of information, support and training to Engineering, Manufacturing and Service departments
Preparation of reports and feedback to the technical and project management teams
Produce EMC project technical submissions including EMC management plans, EMC control plans, EMC risk analysis, EMC design reviews, EMC assurance files, EM site survey reports, EMC test plans and EMC analytical desktop studies.
Demonstrable experience (5+ years) of EMC at a component, system and vehicle level.
Knowledge of EM principles and EMC system interactions.
Experience of delivery of EMC compliance within an automotive company
Electrical, Electronics, Physics or similar honors engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered.
Full driving licence.
Experience of aluminum vehicle structures, alternative grounding solutions and risk.
Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet, CAN, LIN and Flexray
Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS, FPDS, GPDS, NPDS)
Practical experience of using CAD packages (CATIA) or visualisation applications particularly where used for EMC modelling techniques.
Excellent communication and co-ordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers.
Flexible, enthusiastic and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remain focused under pressure.
Knowledge in EMC design guidelines, EMC testing, EM environments and EMC risk analysis
