Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for cybersecurity for Polestar developed products.

The Role: 

  • Responsible to carry out risk assessment (TARA) on for new or modified functions and associated ECUs in line with relevant industry standards.
  • Work with different teams across the business to ensure development and implementation complies with legislation R155 vehicle cyber security, according to ISO21434 process.
  • Assess  work products created by suppliers and review suppliers’ capability to deliver as per R155/ISO21434.
  • Guide cross functional teams on the specification of security and connectivity requirements.
  • Participate in implementing process to comply with R155 for Polestar.
  • Basetech discussions with technology partners on topology, vehicle communication etc.

The Person:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional team members without direct authority.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative.
  • Detailed knowledge of on ISO21434, UNECE WP29 R155/R156.
  • Knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and architecture would be considered an asset.
  • Familiar with Application Software and Automotive Communication protocols.
  • Experience in wireless technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC) and OTA updates would be beneficial but not critical.
  • Electrical, Electronic Systems, IT, Computer Engineering, or similar honors engineering degree.
  • Travel is required.
