Technical Operations Specialist - Canada

Technical Operations encompasses Service Point Technical Support, Event Technical Support as well as Technical Training responsibilities. Your role is therefore to support the Polestar service point network with technical expertise leading to case resolution, the transfer of technical knowledge through mentoring and training as well as assistance in supporting vehicles at PR / marketing events.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the intake and timely handling of Vehicle Reports from Polestar service point technicians
  • Research all information and data, document all details, analyze the problem from multiple perspectives while providing prompt responses with recommendations on further diagnosis and/or resolution
  • Provide assistance via remote diagnostic tools
  • Provide on-site diagnostic support and knowledge transfer at the service points
  • Provide remote support to mobile service technicians
  • Perform inspections and create field reports
  • Track trends for Product Follow-Up Engineers
  • Train and maintain competence for Service Point technicians
  • Develop training courses to grow skilled and knowledgeable Polestar technicians
  • Provide service points with action items for continuous workshop facility and process improvements


Who you are

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Master Technician.
  • You understand the needs of a premium customer within a retail environment
  • You understand how to communicate and negotiate with retailer employees and customers
  • You hold current ASE certifications, including L1 and L3
  • You have extensive automotive diagnostic knowledge in FlexRay, CAN, and hybrid/electric propulsion
  • You network fast and work well under pressure
  • Drive and determination to work in an evolving, ever changing environment
  • You will hold an eye for detail
  • This role requires 50-60% overnight travel throughout North America
