Software Engineer - Charging

This position will be a part of our Propulsion Software Team which is a part of our Propulsion Department. This is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations, that consists of software engineers, calibration engineers and system designers. The area of responsibility spans from battery management software, inverter software and electric motor calibration, and onboard charger software together with the charging end to end user experience.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll do

  • Designing, validating and develop software related to charging in the vehicle but also support App development in cloud environments
  • Build software and test the end to end experience with test vehicles
  • Manage beta-testing and establish data-driven closed loop feedback of the performance, work with dashboards and metrics
  • Push us in creating value and customer experience within the charging eco-system, develop functions and features that will lower the vehicle CO2 footprint by taking into account the CO2 footprint of electricity production and price.

Essentially, you will be our expert in how to implement OCPP and becoming an expert in EVSE communication, functions and ISO-15118-20. It is always qualifying if you have past experience in the area already, but being a fast learner with great programming skills or other experience is as qualifying for this job.

Who you are

Your experience in Electric Vehicle Propulsion Charging Software would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.  You are a fast learner, it is qualifying to have previous experience in software development for cloud (Java, Python or similar) and embedded ECU programming.
