Technical Lead - Internal Communications

We are currently looking for a Technical Lead to join our Corporate Services team

About the team

In this role, you will be part of the Product Business operations support who is responsible for delivering and maintaining Digital Products enabling the business processes of Digital and Polestar overall, including HR, Internal Communications, Sustainability, Legal and Finance & Purchasing.


About the role

As the Technical Lead, you will oversee the delivery of our applications for internal communication at Polestar: SharePoint as a platform for intranet communication and the Parallax app for mobile devices.

You will also translate business objectives set by Digital Lead and DPM into technical deliverables and features, as such, the Technical Lead is an executor and the visionary force behind the technical solution, working closely with Solution Architects, Software Engineers, UX/UI Designers and Quality Assurance/Testers to deliver new or updated digital products/services/platforms.

You will also manage digital internal communication projects such as CMS market roll-outs and CMS development: 

  • Preparation – identify stakeholder needs, scope of work and goal
  • Execution – monitor and steer implementation and ensuring projects are delivered within quality, time and budget requirements., manage risks and inform stakeholders
  • Conclusion – support post-launch and define improvement plan


What you will do

  • Be Responsible for daily execution and planning within the digital team, which includes coordinating and delegating the team's responsibilities and working proactively with removing obstacles to team deliverables
  • Setting the Digital Product's technical direction with the business vision and objectives in collaboration with the Solution Architect and aligning this with the Digital Lead - Lead the procurement of software development for the applications.
  • Mentoring and coaching for the Digital team members, partially by being hands-on and engage in the development of the digital product/service/platform
  • Thought partner for the Digital Lead in feature creation and acceptance criteria, and communicate trade-offs effectively with various competence groups (Service Designers, UX/UI Designers, Software Engineers, etc.)
  • Supporting the team in problem-solving, balancing priorities and clarifying trade-offs
  • Organize your team's development process, including elements such as releases, product demos, end-user training and workshops
  • Responsible for highlighting resource needs to the Digital Lead (e.g., recruitment needs)
  • Coordinate with and manage multiple partners and stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Manage the supporting Vendors.


Who you are

We are looking for you who has several years of experience within a similar position needing excellent project management skills such as planning capabilities, risk management and an efficient way of working

  • Seen as an expert within the technical components of the domains/Digital products/journeys
  • Seasoned developer or technical lead with deep insight into the newest technologies and trends, as well as relevant programming experience
  • Can make architecture decisions at a team and Digital product level
  • Experience in agile ways of working is a plus, as well as strong skills of managing technical priorities within the backlog
  • Documented project management skills.
  • Experience working with SharePoint and mobile app development
  • General understanding of CMS platforms knowledge and capabilities
  • Previous experience of procuring services
  • Master verbal and written communication in English on a professional level, and prior work experience in an international context.
