Digital lead - Digital Worklife / Digital Foundation

The Digital Foundation product area services deliver and focus across multiple entities, in cooperation with the business, the Global Digital organization, and other stakeholders. Setting best practices, streamlining the service design, and improving delivery meeting the organizational needs for the Network, Identity (AAD) and Service & Hosting (Azure IaaS & PaaS) functions.

About the role

As a Digital Lead at Polestar, you will manage dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across the different teams. The Digital Foundation service delivery includes the Network, Identity, and Storage & Hosting services and focuses across multiple entities, in cooperation with the business, the Global Digital organization, and other stakeholders. The Digital Lead is globally accountable for these teams with daily operations lead by a Technical Lead for each service area.

The Digital Lead will direct the Technical Lead for the Digital Foundation global services included, in setting best practices, configuring baselines, streamlining the service design, and improving delivery meeting the organizational needs for the Network (office and factory networks, WAN structure, etc.), Identity (AAD) and Service & Hosting (Azure IaaS & PaaS) functions.

You will own the vision and the roadmap for the digital team and are accountable for planning & execution. You are accountable for specific business KPIs, and responsible for ensuring capacity demand and supply matching is upheld, on a long-term and sprint basis. You will work closely with your team to ensure business value and user feedback are translated into new developments when necessary. Through your understanding of the market/industry, customer needs, and your tech-savviness you will ask the right questions and steer the team in the right direction

The role requires a deep understanding of the Digital Enterprise and the ability to build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team's effort is aligned with the overall strategy. The Digital Lead role is a key position in the digital team and will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the Digital Foundation services.

What you will do

  • Participate in Domain and Digital Product Area-wide forums, where e.g., domain strategy and roadmaps are set
  • Set and communicate the Digital Foundation product area strategy
  • Align on priorities and roadmap for the Digital Worklife domain
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the digital vision and solutions alignment within team strategy and requirements
  • Follow up on the domain’s business KPIs
  • Align vision and roadmap with the Digital Strategy Team
  • Develop resource and sequencing plan of deliveries to ensure overarching objectives in the roadmap are met
  • Work closely with the Technical Leads within the product Digital Foundation
  • Set prioritization in terms of capacity including managing recruitment needs, in tight dialogue with the Technical Lead and the Digital Product Manager
  • Be accountable for risk and reviewing the risk assessment to ensure risks do not escalate
  • Maintain and prioritize lists of issues affecting deliveries and be responsible for assuring resolution through engagement with appropriate parties (e.g., Solution Architect, Software/Hardware vendor, etc.)

Desired expertise and skills

  • Are a strong team leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
  • Have more than three years ’experience working in relevant roles in digital organizations
  • Believe in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust
  • Have strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders and the ability to be influential and motivating
  • Are a good communicator in English and carry natural credibility and authority
  • Have proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant area of business
  • Have deep experience leading teams of IT resources
  • Are a person with a problem solving and service-minded attitude
  • Have a strategic mindset with the “big picture” view
  • Are experienced within project management (desired)
  • Have ITIL Foundation experience with ITIL based Service Delivery
