Let us describe the challenge we offer

In this role you’ll be a part of Polestars’ Propulsion Software team which is a part of the Propulsion Department. This is a team with the mission to deliver results which exceed the customers’ expectations. The team consists of software engineers, calibration engineers and system designers.

The area of responsibility in this position spans from battery management software, inverter software and electric motor calibration, and charger software together with the charging end to end user experience.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll do

  • Implementing diagnostics software and system solutions related to diagnostics/dependability.
  • Test the implementation in vehicle, work with data-analysis and validation of the functions in fleet test cars, and customer cars
  • Manage beta-testing and establish data-driven closed loop feedback of the performance, work with dashboards and metrics

Essentially, you will be our expert in how to implement software that will maximize the quality and reliability of our products together with robust fault mode management in the vehicle.

Who you are

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles – It’s probably fair to call you an EV nerd, passionate about solving climate changes. Your experience in Electric Vehicle Propulsion Diagnostics and Dependability would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.

  • You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You’re not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. Further on we believe you have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers.
  • You are a fast learner and it is qualifying to have previous experience in battery management systems (Matlab Simulink) and embedded ECU programming.
  • Education within electrical engineering or other similar university degree is mandatory for this job.
